A single postcard is sent in the mail with your address written on the back, and a note from me.
Postcard prices decrease when you purchase the same card in quantities of 2, 4, 6 or 8, and 2 or more postcards are left blank and sent in an envelope.
This postcard is inspired by a line from Clarissa Pinkola Estes’ book, Women Who Run With the Wolves: “Asking the proper question is the central action of transformation- in fairy tales, in analysis, and in individuation. The key question causes germination of consciousness. … Questions are the keys that cause the secret doors of the psyche to swing open.”
In the painting, the question is like a spider. Many feminists, like Mary Daly, use the language of “spinning and weaving” to talk about growth and transformation. In this image, the spider is like a tickle in the gut, prompting us to formulate the question that will lead to growth.
